"McFLY star TOM FLETCHER will be the first member of the boyband to walk down the aisle after he asked his girlfriend to marry him last night.
The pop star popped the question to pretty Italian Giovanna Falcone – his girlfriend of seven years – at the Sylvia Young Theatre school where they first met.

Tom told Giovanna she needed to do some filming for McFly’s upcoming documentary series at the school on her own.

However, when she arrived there Tom surprised her by appearing and getting down on one knee.

How sweet.

Shortly afterwards Tom eagerly Tweeted fans with the news before whisking Giovanna off to London’s posh Ivy restaurant.

He wrote: “Ok, so you’d find out from someone else sooner or later so I thought I’d be the first one to tell you…

“I proposed to @giovannafalcone earlier tonight… and she said YES!

“We are now officially engaged!”

Giovanna then added: “I have one question… Am I meant to take my brand new sparkling engagement ring off before I wash the dishes?

“I’m gonna be Mrs Fletcher!”"

Tom Felton Congratulates Fletcher On Engagement

"Harry Potter star Tom Felton has congratulated Mcfly's Tom Fletcher after the singer announced his engagement on Monday (18Apr11).
The British pop star took to Twitter.com to announce the happy news just hours after proposing to his girlfriend of seven years, Giovanna Falcone.
Felton has rushed to congratulate his friend, writing, "Just heard the good news, congratulations mate! Wishing you decades of good times together. All the best to u (sic) and the mrs." Fletcher replied, "Cheers my fellow TF!"
The actor isn't the only star to be celebrating the news - Fletcher's bandmates have also congratulated their pal.
Dougie Poynter wrote, "Congratulations to my good friends Tom and Gi for getting engaged tonight!!!" While Danny Jones has already joked he'll be happy to be Fletcher's best man at the nuptials, "That's awesome mate, many congratulations to you and Giovanna Falcone... No... don't, OK yes I will be your best man! Yes.""

Tom Fletcher - Mcfly's Fletcher Engaged

"British pop star Tom Fletcher is to become the first member of Mcfly to walk down the aisle after proposing to his longterm girlfriend.
The British pop star has been dating Giovanna Falcone for seven years.
Fletcher popped the question on Monday (18Apr11) and rushed to Twitter.com to announce the happy news.
He writes, "Ok, so you'd find out from someone else sooner or later so I thought I'd be the first one to tell you... I proposed to @giovannafalcone earlier tonight... and she said Yes! We are now officially engaged!"
Meanwhile Falcone wrote, "I have one question... Am I meant to take my brand new sparkling engagement ring off before I wash the dishes? I'm gonna be Mrs Fletcher!""
