"McFly's Dougie Poynter has given up his rare lizard collection after being issued an ultimatum by girlfriend Frankie Sandford following their recent reunion.

McFly star Dougie Poynter has sacrificed his beloved lizard collection for girlfriend Frankie Sandford.

The 22-year-old bassist has a rare collection of reptiles worth thousands of pounds but has agreed to get rid of them for The Saturdays beauty, following their recent reconciliation, because she doesn't like them.

He told The Sun newspaper: "I've had the collection re-homed. It was a difficult decision but it's all for the best.

"Besides, I'm on the road so much that it wasn't fair on them. One committed suicide the last time I was away and another had a sex change!"

The couple split in March after a year of dating and Frankie, 21, moved out of the home they were sharing.

But following a tense meeting at London's exclusive Mayfair hotel in April, the couple publicly announced they were back together.

Rumours have since circulated the couple are planning to wed before Christmas."

Celebs panic as Twitter crash wipes followers

There was pandemonium in the celebrity world yesterday evening after a bug on Twitter wiped everybody’s followers back down to zero. Twitter had been attempting to fix another bug to prevent their users being forced to follow others, but during the process they managed to remove everyone’s followers. Some celebs reacted better than others, with funnyman Dom Joly Tweeting: “If all 25,000 of you are hiding in my kitchen I’m going to be really p****d off!” and McFly’s chief Twitterer Tom Fletcher posting: “I have no followers...It's the end of the world! I'm alone and miserable again. HELLO...hello...hello (echoes through the empty void).” Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore both joked that the “Turkish hacker” was really doing a number on Twitter, while Stephen Fry joked, “I was sure I had more followers. Must have imagine it.” It was P Diddy who reacted in by far the most extreme way, writing wildly, “I will use my magical powers to fix this! Never fear @iamdiddy is here! HERE I COME TO SAVE THE DAY!” In the end, technicians fixed it and Twitter was restored to normal after just a few hours. Phew. Frankie Sandford reunites with boyfriend Dougie Poynter

"It was only two months ago they called time of their relationship, blaming their busy work schedules.

But it appeared absence made the heart grow fonder for The Saturdays singer Frankie Sandford and McFly bassist Dougie Poynter as they have decided to give things another try.

Last night, the couple made their first public appearance together since reuniting as they attended the Sony Radio Academy Awards in London.

Sandford, 21, had been invited to present The Sony DAB Rising Star Award to former Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker for his BBC6Music show and brought along Poynter as her date.

The girl band singer looked stunning in a cream asymmetrical dress, while Poynter, 22, was a bit more laid back in jeans and a navy blazer.

As the couple left the Grosvenor House Hotel together to head back to their north London home, Sandford couldn’t stop smiling as she was back at her beau’s side.

Sandford, who was voted fourth sexiest woman in the world by FHM magazine, admitted last week they had got back together.

Despite claiming they were ‘taking it slow’, they have already moved back in together in a flat in Edmonton, north London.

She said: ‘I am back with Dougie but we’re taking it slow.

‘I missed him too much. It’s definitely made us realise that what we have together is good.

‘We’re living together again. It’s so nice.’

The pair decided to reunite after an emotional heart-to-heart at the May Fair Hotel three weeks ago.

The brunette beauty was seen crying on a sofa as she was comforted by Poynter.

At the time, she said: ‘Will I get back with Dougie? Never say never.

‘It was so embarrassing seeing the pictures of me crying the other day. It was the first time I’d seen him since the split, so I was so emotional. I wasn’t expecting him to be so sweet, but he was.’

Before their split, the pair had been dating for 20 months and moved in together last summer."
